Purchase of a document scanner

In order to better manage, organise and evaluate the valuable documents and collections from the family association’s archive, our archivist, cousin Bernd, purchased a portable document scanner.

This makes it easier to convert “details”, book pages, handwritten documents or similar items into digital form and store them on our server.

The scan can be edited using the appropriate software.

Handwritten notes can also be digitised in this way.

Large leaves naturally pose their own difficulties here too. But it is possible.

Despite this great progress, however, it still requires hard work and patience.

So thank you to our hard-working archivist, cousin Bernd.
