Familienverband Schrader e.V.

After Easter, a letter arrives from the family association.

In the week after Easter – a little later than usual – the Family Association will send out letters to its members in various parts of Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Greece and the United States of America.

In addition to the invitation to the 77th Family Day in Warendorf/Münsterland (30 September to 2 October 2022) and the new newsletter No. 66, the package contains a complete board proposal for the planned amendment to the association’s statutes. “We want everyone attending the general meeting in Warendorf to be as well prepared as possible for this key issue,” emphasises Chairman Harald Schrader.

Members will also receive a letter on data protection written by archivist Bernd Schrader, who is also the family association’s data protection officer. Finally, a map of Warendorf is also enclosed.

Newsletter No. 66 contains the family trees of four Schrader families. Family trees are an indispensable basis for any family and clan research. One article looks back on the association’s 100th anniversary in 2021 in Jerichow/Tangermünde. It also features a portrait of Deputy Chairman Klaus Schrader, who was named the 23rd honorary member. An obituary is dedicated to the late treasurer Ulrich von Schrader (1942-2021). And we remember the former chairman and long-time archivist Dr Karl Hermann Schrader (1922-2012), who would have turned 100 this year. (hs)
