The family association assists members and non-members with their genealogical enquiries if there is a clear connection to Schrader.
This is in the interest of the family association – every enquiry can lead to new discoveries.

In 2023, six new enquiries were processed.
Two enquiries from association members dating back to 2022 regarding research into their family history were successfully completed.

New enquiries included:

• 01 Enquiry about the Schrader (-Wahmbeck) clan from the USA
• 02 Enquiry about the Schrader clan (- Braunschweig, councillors)
• 03 Enquiry about Ludolf Schrader (Braunschweig-councillors clan) from Canada
• 04 Enquiry about Schrader in Northeim, where a family connection was established
• 05 Enquiry about Canon Otto Conrad Schrader in Wunstorf
• 06 Enquiry about Pastor Johann Conrad Schrader in Moringen from the USA

Two of the enquiries (04/2023 and 06/2023) lead to Northeim. The online sources available here are still insufficient; we must wait for the digitised church records to be published. Northeim will be further processed in 2024.

The balance sheet for the year is once again positive.
Even if we cannot always help, the saying “nothing ventured, nothing gained” still applies!
